SAIC Volkswagen Teramont debuts

At this year's Guangzhou Auto Show, SAIC Volkswagen's new mid-to-large SUV, Teramont, made its debut. The new car is positioned as a 7-seater mid-to-large SUV. This car will be launched in late March or early April 2017, and a 6-seater version will also be launched at the same time. The overall shape of the new car is quite burly. Its front face basically continues the design of the Volkswagen CrossBlue concept car. The double chrome bars of the front grille are directly connected to the inside of the front headlight group, with a strong sense of design. The new car is built on the Volkswagen MQB platform, with a length, width and height of 5039mm×1989mm×1773mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2980mm, which has exceeded the Volkswagen Touareg and is close to the Audi Q7. And it is mainly aimed at the 7-seat market, and its huge body is conducive to easier use of internal space. From the interior, the center console of the new car maintains the design style of the CrossBlue concept car, and the overall shape uses relatively straight lines, with a standard visual effect. From the configuration point of view, the car is equipped with a large-size multimedia display, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with a new Volkswagen design style, and a three-zone automatic air conditioner with rear air outlets. In terms of power, it will be equipped with a 2.0TSI high/low power engine and a 2.5T V6 engine. This 2.5T engine is also the first to appear in the Chinese market, with a torque of up to 500 Nm, and even exceeds the parameters of the 3.0T V6 engine on the previous Phideon. It will be matched with a DQ500 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. In addition, this flagship SUV will also be equipped with a DCC dynamic suspension and a 4 Motion four-wheel drive system, and there are 8 driving modes to choose from, and the dynamic performance is exciting.
