At the 2018 Smart Car Cross-border Integration Summit Forum held recently, Lang Xianpeng, Director of Autonomous Driving at CHJ Automotive, introduced the company's driverless strategy and shared travel strategy to the public for the first time. The goal of CHJ shared travel is to create an unmanned Robo-taxis specifically customized for shared travel. It is reported that the first batch of mass-produced vehicles are planned to be put into commercial operation in 2025, providing users with 100 million kilometers of travel services every day. Four major platforms that make up the CHJ autonomous driving system Unmanned Robo-taxi is the strategic goal of CHJ Automotive. Since January this year, CHJ Automotive has chosen to build its own team to be responsible for the design, development and productization of autonomous driving shared travel solutions. Lang Xianpeng pointed out that by 2025, CHJ Automotive will not produce a "semi-finished product" for trial operation, but a mass-produced car that can be officially put into commercial operation. In order to seize the time node of 2025, CHJ has also considered some practical solutions to maximize efficiency. According to Lang Xianpeng, the company's first SUV to be launched will be equipped with an autonomous driving L2.5 system, which is similar to Tesla's Autopilot in function. CHJ invested Yihang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for the research and development. At the same time, he also revealed the specific schedule for the next work: after the Robo-taxi prototype is completed around 2019, CHJ will complete the overall vehicle design in 2020, perfect the algorithm in 1-2 years, and start large-scale mass production in 2023-2025. When talking about the algorithm development ideas of CHJ, Lang Xianpeng proposed that CHJ should prioritize safety, take into account both long-term and short-term goals, and make timely judgments in future decision-making, planning and development. When talking about the crucial data, Lang Xianpeng mentioned that car companies have the most data resources and can also take into account diversity in data recycling. CHJ will have a complete set of processes for data expression, collection, and production to ensure that data can better play its value in the training of autonomous driving algorithms. According to the plan, CHJ's first SUV will be an extended-range electric vehicle with a range of more than 700 kilometers. It will be released in the second half of this year and officially launched in 2019. As a winner of Toutiao's Qingyun Plan and Baijiahao's Bai+ Plan, the 2019 Baidu Digital Author of the Year, the Baijiahao's Most Popular Author in the Technology Field, the 2019 Sogou Technology and Culture Author, and the 2021 Baijiahao Quarterly Influential Creator, he has won many awards, including the 2013 Sohu Best Industry Media Person, the 2015 China New Media Entrepreneurship Competition Beijing Third Place, the 2015 Guangmang Experience Award, the 2015 China New Media Entrepreneurship Competition Finals Third Place, and the 2018 Baidu Dynamic Annual Powerful Celebrity. |
