BYD: BYD's cumulative sales in 2022 reached 1.8635 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 208.64%

BYD issued an announcement that its sales of new energy vehicles in December 2022 reached 235,200 units, and its cumulative sales in 2022 reached 1.8635 million units, a year-on-year increase of 208.64%.

BYD is also continuing to make efforts in overseas markets, with a total of 11,320 new energy passenger vehicles sold overseas in December. The total installed capacity of power batteries and energy storage batteries in December was approximately 11.152GWh, and the cumulative installed capacity in 2022 is approximately 89.836GWh.

For BYD, in addition to achieving the conservative annual sales target of 1.5 million vehicles at the beginning of the year ahead of schedule, sales have further reached 1.8 million vehicles. BYD's position in the domestic new energy vehicle market has also become more stable.

Taking the October sales data of new energy vehicles as an example, BYD’s sales alone are almost the sum of the sales of the second to tenth ranked brands, with a market share of 37%. This means that for every 10 new energy vehicles sold in China in October, at least 3 are BYD.

In 2021, BYD's annual sales were around 730,000 vehicles, and its sales doubled to over one million in one year. While BYD created a record for domestic car manufacturing, it also created a "myth" in car manufacturing.
