Surface mini was killed by Microsoft at the last minute

Microsoft held a new product launch conference in New York on the 20th. The Surface mini, which was highly anticipated before, was absent. We only saw the Surface Pro 3. According to Bloomberg, the Surface mini does exist, but Microsoft chose to seal it up. Microsoft's reason for doing so is that the Surface mini does not have an absolute advantage over other small tablets, such as the Apple iPad mini. People familiar with the matter revealed that the Surface mini is not unique enough to shake up the market. It is said that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and device department director Stephen Elop jointly decided to abandon the Surface mini. Since the decision was made at the last minute, Microsoft had to adjust the content of the press conference and all topics related to Qualcomm were removed. Small tablets are now very popular in the market, and there are already many strong competitors, including Apple's iPad mini, Google's Nexus 7, and some other manufacturers have launched small-sized Windows tablets. If the Surface mini is not powerful enough, it may be a wise choice not to enter this market as soon as possible.
