Only in this way can the iPhone not be monitored
The news that the iPhone can be monitored even after it is turned off has caused a stir. Recently, Edward Snowden, the whistleblower of the US "Prism Gate", said that the US National Security Agency can monitor users through the microphone when the iPhone is turned off, and experts have confirmed this statement. The main reason is that when the iPhone is turned off, although it enters a black screen and there is no response, it seems that the power has been cut off, but in fact the phone has entered a low-energy mode, and the key communication chip (baseband) is still active. This is like a "suspended death" state. The phone can still accept instructions, such as activating the microphone. The US National Security Agency and the British Government Communications Directorate have jointly developed a technology that can use this "loophole" to conduct monitoring activities through software "implantation". It sounds really scary. So how can we avoid being monitored? The expert said that the iPhone must be put into DFU mode. The full name of DFU is Device Firmware Upgrade, which is the forced upgrade and downgrade mode of the iPhone firmware. It is usually used when the iPhone cannot be turned on, iTunes cannot recognize it, or when downgrading and jailbreaking boot. But only by entering this mode can you avoid being monitored. How to enter DFU mode: First, plug the iPhone into a power socket or USB port (connect to a computer), then press and hold the power button, then press and hold the Home button after 3 seconds, and then press and hold both buttons for 10 seconds. Release the power button and continue to press and hold the Home button for 10 to 15 seconds. After these operations, the phone will enter DFU mode. How to exit DFU mode: Press and hold the power button and the Home button at the same time until the Spelling Logo appears and then turn on the phone normally. Of course, for ordinary people who don't have important secrets, these don't matter.
