During the 2014 Shanghai Mobile Asia Communications Expo, China Mobile released the "China Mobile LTE Terminal Quality Management and Testing White Paper" and revealed that the network access delay of TD-LTE terminals has been reduced by 18%, the voice call success rate has increased to 98%, and customer perception has been significantly improved. China Mobile said that since the commercial use at the end of 2013, TD-LTE terminals have developed and improved rapidly in terms of product models and terminal quality. In terms of models, as of May 2014, a total of 265 TD-LTE terminals and 204 mobile phone products have been completed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In terms of quality, the end-to-end main performance indicators have been significantly improved. The terminal that has passed the China Mobile test has reached 200 hours of trouble-free operation, and the endurance performance under the typical customer model has increased by 80%. In addition, the current communications industry is in the transition period from 3G to 4G, and strengthening the quality management of 4G terminals is crucial to China Mobile's 4G development. China Mobile said it will further strengthen strategic cooperation with all partners in the industry chain to build a standardized, socialized and internationalized quality management system: establish joint laboratories with 6 mainstream terminal and chip manufacturers; establish a terminal quality cooperation system with international mainstream operators, jointly build standards, share quality information and certification processes, etc. It is reported that China Mobile's terminal quality management system comprehensively covers all stages of terminal product research and development, testing, production and sales, including key component quality certification, pre-market quality acceptance, production quality management and post-market quality monitoring. For mobile phone products, data products, industry and home products, a "six-dimensional" terminal quality evaluation system for customer experience has been established, covering wireless communications, business applications, software reliability, hardware reliability, field and user experience, involving nearly 5,000 test cases, fully guaranteeing good customer perception of 4G terminals.
