Apple fans want a big-screen iPhone, 1/4 say they have enough money
Analysis from RBC Capital Markets shows that consumers are still eager for the next generation of iPhone. According to a survey report involving 4,000 people, half of the consumers plan to replace their mobile phones with iPhones in the next three to four months, and one-quarter of them are willing to spend an extra $100 (about 632 RMB) to exchange for an iPhone with a larger screen. The report shows that consumers have a certain degree of understanding of the next generation of iPhone and are quite interested in it. As many as 74% of the respondents said that they knew that Apple would release a new machine this fall, and 50% of them said that they are interested in buying the next generation of iPhone. They expect the next generation of iPhone to have improved performance and a larger screen. The survey shows that consumers can accept Apple's price increase, but they need a larger screen. One-quarter of the respondents are willing to spend an extra $100 to exchange for a larger 5.5-inch screen iPhone 6 based on the current $199 16GB iPhone 5 (about 1,240 RMB) or the upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Analysts estimate that the next generation of iPhone with a large screen will definitely stimulate consumers to upgrade their phones, which will lead to a significant increase in Apple's performance, up 15% to 20% year-on-year. In addition to iPhone 6, Apple will also launch the iWatch smartwatch this year, but in the face of the frequent moves of its competitor Google in recent days, will Apple change its plan and launch new products in advance? For domestic users, due to the lack of high subsidies from telecom operators, they may have to spend a higher price to buy iPhone 6.
