Through technical means, the police found that the website's backend maintenance address was located in Shenghe Garden Community in Taizhou City. After a period of investigation, on May 15 this year, the police arrested the webmaster of the website, and his identity surprised everyone. After investigation, the webmaster Zhao, 35 years old this year, is a chemistry teacher at a private middle school in Taizhou, and usually likes to study computers. According to the appraisal, Zhao Moumou had spread more than 600 obscene pictures. Why would a teacher build a pornographic website to spread obscene pictures? Modern Express reporter learned that although Zhao Moumou was a chemistry teacher, he was very interested in the Internet. After get off work, he often stayed in technical forums, met a group of experts in Internet technology, and also discovered the way to make money. Zhao Moumou confessed that he got to know a website called "CITIC Advertising Alliance" and met the webmaster Gao. He learned that by helping the advertising alliance increase the number of clicks on the software, money would roll in. In-depth investigation Placing pornographic pictures to attract netizens to click and make profits The police found that since April 2013, the CITIC Advertising Alliance has gathered nearly 1,000 small and medium-sized network media resources to form an alliance, instructing each website owner to insert the advertising alliance code under the guise of a body art website, and jump to pornographic websites and advertisements. The CITIC Advertising Alliance monitors and counts the actual effects of the online advertisements of each website owner, and divides the advertising fees paid by advertisers with each website owner based on the number of ad clicks. "CITIC Advertising Alliance is equivalent to an intermediary company." Yin Wei, captain of the case investigation team of the Public Security Brigade of the Public Security Bureau of the Medical High-tech Zone, introduced that the upstream of CITIC Advertising Alliance is advertisers, and the downstream is nearly a thousand websites. When advertisers need to promote some unknown software, they need to go through the alliance website. Advertisers pay software promotion fees to CITIC Advertising Alliance, and downstream websites insert network codes into their websites. CITIC Advertising Alliance pays fees based on the number of clicks and software downloads on each website, and earns the difference. In order to increase the number of clicks and downloads, websites often insert pop-up ads and place pornographic pictures to attract netizens to click. After netizens click, the software will be automatically installed and downloaded. Zhao Moumou is one of the nearly a thousand website owners. Since March this year, he has used his own website to join CITIC Advertising Alliance, loaded obscene pornographic pictures on the website, helped promote software advertisements, and made illegal profits of more than 40,000 yuan. Following the clues, the advertisers and the heads of the alliance stations were arrested. The police found that there were about 20 website owners who were still active in the past three months, scattered in more than ten provinces and cities such as Fujian, Hainan, and Liaoning. Each of the above website owners opened 1 to 5 websites. From February to May 2014, the amount paid by the CITIC Advertising Alliance through online banking settlement reached more than 2 million yuan based on the number of clicks on each website. After further investigation, it was initially found that the CITIC Advertising Alliance was a profit-making gang that spread obscene materials on the Internet in many provinces and cities across the country. The police set up a special task force, and in more than two months, they traveled to more than ten provinces and cities such as Fujian, Hainan, and Liaoning, and successively arrested 7 advertisers, CITIC Advertising Alliance stationmasters, and website owners. Advertiser Xiao Moumou, for the purpose of profit, knowing that there was obscene and pornographic electronic information on the CITIC Advertising Alliance website, placed advertisements and provided funds to it, suspected of the crime of spreading obscene materials for profit. Gao, the webmaster of CITIC Advertising Alliance, was born in the 1990s. In March 2013, Gao met network technician Bai and commissioned Bai to build the CITIC Advertising Alliance website architecture. He operated the CITIC Advertising Alliance website on servers rented in South Korea and Guangdong, my country. After the website was launched, Gao recruited advertisers and website owners to join, placed advertisements on the website, and earned the difference through intermediary settlement. At present, the police are still conducting further investigation on the case.
