Simply proposing a "CONNECT TO MEIZU" concept is far from enough for the smart ecosystem that Meizu hopes to create. At a new product launch conference not long ago, Meizu's LifeKit system developed around smart devices was officially unveiled. Although just like the Hi-Fi feature "Retina Sound" on the previous MX4 Pro, the name "LifeKit" still sounds distinctly "fruity", but driven by LifeKit, Meizu has showcased a number of smart hardware products that will be connected to this system. The Weizhi X-Light Plus smart bulb and RyFit Yunyue smart physical analyzer we are going to talk about now will be the first to become a member of the LifeKit family. What is a light bulb with thoughts? The name of MEIZU X-Light Plus makes this smart light bulb sound high-end enough, and apart from the "CONNECT TO MEIZU" logo on the packaging, there is only the shouting of the soul of the product - "Light bulbs should also have thoughts"! Open the package and peel off the protective layer with a smiley face pattern, and the true appearance of the Weizhi X-Light Plus smart bulb wearing a "rich gold apron" is revealed. The biggest difference between the Weizhi X-Light Plus smart bulb and ordinary bulbs is the circle of "rich gold" around it. The standard screw design allows it to be used in any standard lamp socket, such as a table lamp or a chandelier. The App that matches the Weizhi X-Light Plus smart bulb supports both iOS and Android platforms, and connects to the bulb via Bluetooth. The App has quite a few built-in usage modes, but how can a bulb achieve these functions? In the color options, we found that users can adjust the luminous color and tone of the Weizhi X-Light Plus smart bulb by themselves, and the so-called intelligence must start from this. In actual use, the Wisdom X-Light Plus smart bulb is indeed a color-changing lamp, and claims to support 16 million colors, cold and warm lighting, camera color picking and other features, but is this considered to be thoughtful? Perhaps it is more appropriate to call such a "marquee" with personality. How does RyFit get users fit? After talking about the small smart light bulb, the RyFit Yunyue Smart Physical Fitness Analyzer can really be considered a big item. On the back of the package, we can see that the RyFit Yunyue Intelligent Physical Fitness Analyzer can be used to detect various physiological data such as weight, BMI, fat rate, subcutaneous fat index, visceral fat index, muscle rate, basal metabolic rate, etc., and it is worthy of the name of a "physical fitness analyzer." After opening the package, I found an extra-large "mouse pad" was included as standard. What’s more interesting is that the RyFit Yunyue Intelligent Physical Fitness Analyzer is powered by three No. 7 batteries. The batteries provided in the package are of the same brand as the product, making it look like a high-end product. As a smart device, the linkage between hardware and mobile App is essential, but what is regrettable is that neither the RyFit Yunyue Smart Physical Composition Analyzer product itself nor the QR code on the packaging is a direct download entrance for the App, but directly leads to the product's official website. Using a mobile phone to scan the code to visit the PC website, I wonder what the product manager is thinking? Of course, we eventually found a mobile app called RyFit by searching in a third-party app store. After the RyFit Yunyue Smart Physical Fitness Analyzer is installed with batteries, the App can directly connect to the device via Bluetooth, which means that users can get on the scale directly. After setting the user's date of birth, height, weight and other basic data, the user can intuitively see parameters such as body water content, BMI value, body age, subcutaneous fat content, etc. through the App, and it will also give an indicator reference of whether the value is too high or too low. In fact, in addition to the App, the RyFit Yunyue Intelligent Physical Fitness Analyzer itself can also display relatively rich data. However, if it is not connected to a mobile phone, the RyFit Yunyue Intelligent Physical Fitness Analyzer does not seem to enter the working state by itself. Summarize: From an intuitive point of view, the two smart hardware products that first entered Meizu LifeKit are quite interesting. The color-changing light bulbs are very fun, and the smart physical analyzer can also display enough information. But it may only be a little interesting. If you don’t like to hold parties at home, the color-changing light bulb may not have much practical value. And if the physical constitution analysis cannot be linked to health care measures in real life, it may not be able to truly meet the user’s health needs. Therefore, after the introduction of the Micro-Smart X-Light Plus smart bulb and the RyFit Yunyue smart body constitution analyzer into Meizu Life, they have indeed become the two smart hardware and smart home products closest to us. However, how should we go on the road of smart home in the new technological environment? How can we go further? For Meizu and smart hardware manufacturers, it is still a long way to go.
