China Passenger Car Association: Tesla's China wholesale sales reached 68,280 units in October 2024, with Model Y accounting for 90% of the market share

The China Passenger Car Association released a report on the national passenger car market, which showed that Tesla China's wholesale sales in October reached 68,280 units, of which 27,795 were exported. This means that Tesla sold 40,485 electric vehicles in the domestic market. Of these sales, Model Y accounted for 42,265 units, while Model 3 accounted for 26,015 units.

Although the report did not disclose the specific sales of these two models in the domestic market, according to foreign media reports, the sales of Model Y and Model 3 in the domestic market in October accounted for 89% and 11% respectively.

Based on this calculation, Model Y sold approximately 36,032 units in the domestic market, while Model 3 sold approximately 4,453 units.

In addition, Tesla accounted for 1.8% of the cars sold in the domestic market in October, with Model Y becoming the second best-selling model.

According to the latest revelations from overseas bloggers, Tesla's new version of Model Y has officially rolled off the production line at the Shanghai Super Factory and is undergoing multiple tests. It is expected to be officially launched in early 2025.
