Flash is on its way out: Microsoft Edge browser blocks its use

Earlier today, Microsoft brought users the Windows 10 Build 15002 preview system, which also made a number of functional updates to the Edge browser.

Among them, some changes to Flash content on web pages are the most noticeable.

The updated Edge browser will "by default" block untrusted Flash content on web pages, and users who want to run such Flash plug-ins must manually confirm and enable them.

Although Microsoft explained this as making the browser more secure and stable, the outside world tends to interpret this as a strong signal that Microsoft will phase out Flash.

Google has already taken the lead and made HTML 5 the default option in Chrome 55, completely banishing the old Flash. In addition, Microsoft has also officially restricted its operation, and Flash is on its way out.

In addition, the new version of Edge browser also adds some humanized improvements, such as tab content preview, opening a new browser window directly on the taskbar, better support for web payment, and optimized mouse/touchpad clicking experience, etc.
