According to recent news, FAW-Volkswagen released its sales data for March 2025, with sales of complete vehicles reaching 154,000 units, of which sales of fuel vehicles increased by 1.4% year-on-year. Specifically, the Volkswagen brand sold 87,000 vehicles, and the share of fuel vehicles increased by 1.1 percentage points year-on-year; the Audi brand sold 56,000 vehicles; the Jetta brand sold 11,000 vehicles, and the market share increased by 0.3 percentage points month-on-month. In March, China FAW and Volkswagen Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement to determine the new model planning of FAW-Volkswagen. Starting from 2026, the Volkswagen and Jetta brands will add 11 new models tailored for the Chinese market. The Volkswagen brand new energy vehicle models planned this time will introduce the new CMP electric platform and CEA electronic and electrical architecture to accelerate the smart electric transformation. FAW-Volkswagen will also be deeply involved in the definition and research and development of localized products. The first Jetta brand pure electric vehicle will be equipped with the SOA electronic and electrical architecture, reaching the industry-leading level. |
