Increase speed and reduce fees? The three major operators are playing tricks together

[[134373]]

A month has passed since the Prime Minister complained about the "slow internet speed and high fees", and the three major operators have finally come up with plans to increase speed and reduce fees. After reading the plans of China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom one by one, I finally understand what the saying "there are policies from above and countermeasures from below" means. The three major operators are simply blatantly deceiving their superiors and deceiving their subordinates.

China Unicom said it would reduce fees by 20%, China Mobile said it would reduce fees by 35%, and China Telecom said it would reduce fees by 40%. I was very happy when I saw the title, but I was disappointed after reading the plan. Are the three major operators veteran members of the title party? Below I will analyze the "speed up and reduce fees" plans of the major operators one by one.

1. China Unicom

1. In terms of fixed-line broadband, China Unicom’s plan only covers the Beijing area, and the 20M rate is reduced from 1780 to 1480.

Analysis: Before the price cut, the price of China Unicom broadband in Beijing was 1780 yuan in the city and 1580 yuan in the suburbs. The 200 yuan price difference was unreasonable. In Shanghai, another first-tier megacity, the original price of 20M fiber was only 1560 yuan, and the actual price was only 1080 yuan. Even if the price was reduced in Beijing, it was still more expensive than in the whole country. Now it is understandable why only the price was reduced in Beijing. Is such a price sincere?

2. In terms of mobile broadband, China Unicom launched a promotional activity of 10 yuan for 1.5GB of intra-province traffic for half a year. The traffic will not be reset across months and is valid for half a year. Video-oriented traffic package, the most preferential traffic package is priced at 18 yuan per month for 6GB. And the traffic bank platform can realize the functions of transferring, sharing, and exchanging traffic.

Analysis: These data packages seem to be very affordable, but they all have certain thresholds. Some data can only be used locally, and some can only be used for specific services. Such data packages have existed before, and they are not released just because the Prime Minister said so. The so-called non-reset, transfer, sharing, and exchange of data are all data packages outside the package, and do not include the data in the package. Isn't this a cunning plan?

2. China Mobile

China Mobile has launched eight initiatives, which seems really dazzling.

1, 2, and 3 can be combined into one sentence: 10 yuan/GB for night and holiday packages, and 50 yuan/2GB for national traffic.

Analysis: 10 yuan/GB is not cheap, but it is only for night and holiday packages. Who would use data in the middle of the night? Even if you don't sleep, you can still use wifi at home. The network is idle at this time. Can't it be cheaper? Isn't this policy too cunning?

4. Comprehensively promote the "out-of-package peace of mind service", and the out-of-package fee will be reduced to 0.06-0.1 yuan/MB.

Analysis: The official policy is confusing enough. In fact, if you exceed the package, you will be charged 10 yuan for 100M. When you reach 60 yuan, you can use 1GB of traffic. There is a double cap of 500 yuan and 15GB. The cap policy has been in place for a long time and is completely the same as it is now. And no matter how you calculate it, the price of 60 yuan/GB is not cheap. Is it because my income is too low?

5. Carry out a unified promotion of "Order a data package of 1GB or more and get 1GB of nighttime data for free".

Analysis: The free data is for night traffic. Do we have to live in the middle of the night according to US time to use up this data? If they are really sincere, they should give unlimited data! Isn't this ridiculous?

6. Change the tariff structure, promote data consumption, and launch unlimited voice and text message packages.

Analysis: This unlimited voice and text messaging package is not available to just any user. It must meet China Mobile's four-star or five-star standards, or in a more vulgar way, be a wealthy customer. The starting package is 338 yuan. Who among us ordinary users spends more than 300 yuan on phone bills in a month? Who has endless phone calls every month? Such a policy can be ignored by more than 90% of users.

7. Reduce international roaming charges and those for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and launch daily data packages for 48 countries and regions, with an average reduction of more than 70%.

Analysis: I will not comment on this point. The policy is still the same old policy, which is relatively better.

8. Launch services such as traffic sharing, non-zero traffic, and traffic trading.

Analysis: This is for the data packages outside the package, which has nothing to do with the package. For the data packages outside the package, you basically buy as much as you use. The data package you buy should be used up, but there are still monthly, half-year, and annual conditions. For such a policy, I still have two words - haha.

3. China Telecom

China Mobile has introduced eight policies, and China Telecom has one more.

1. Free broadband speed increase.

Analysis: This free speed increase has been available for many years and cannot be considered a new policy. It is a promotional activity after ADSL was converted to fiber optic. The actual speed does not reach the declared speed and it has been deceiving users for many years.

2. The cost of 100M broadband has been significantly reduced, with the price per unit bandwidth falling by nearly 40%.

Analysis: The annual price of 100M fiber optic cable has dropped from about 3000 to less than 2000. This is vague. 2999 means less than 2000. In fact, the price of 100M fiber optic cable in China is basically less than 2000. It is 2990 yuan in Shanghai, 1980 yuan in Guangzhou, and 1610 yuan in Beijing. Is it because I didn't learn math well or my PE teacher died early? Where did the nearly 40% drop come from?

3. The price per GB of traffic is reduced to 25 yuan.

Analysis: The sentence behind this policy is to promote a 49 yuan 2GB provincial card, which is 25 yuan per GB on average, and this traffic can only be used within the province. So Unicom is more practical, their local traffic is 10 yuan for 1.5GB, and the traffic, which is not cheap in the first place, is within the province. How can I say that I am not convinced?

4. Introduce a variety of measures such as free large amounts of data, buy one get one free for additional packages, targeted data traffic discounts, and off-peak data traffic discounts.

Analysis: I don't want to complain about the promotional traffic for new users, it's as if you guys didn't give it to them if the Prime Minister didn't say anything. It's been free for several years and they're just selling it in new jars. Other directional traffic and night traffic are the same as China Mobile's, they give it to you when you don't need it, and charge you when you need it.

5. Reduce the traffic costs of entrepreneurs.

Analysis: This is a hard advertisement.

6. International roaming traffic charges have been significantly reduced.

Analysis: Some regions ***90%, pay attention to some regions, *** two key words. So, what about the places you often go to? Let's learn from China Mobile, which basically indicates the region and price. Of course, this is really not the fault of domestic operators, the pricing power is in the hands of foreign operators, but don't use it to fool us and say you bargained!

7. The traffic will not be reset and can be transferred.

Analysis: The three major operators all have the same policy, that is, the traffic outside the package will not be reset and can be transferred and increased. Even if you don't use the traffic in the package, you still have to use it.

8.9. Accelerate the construction of Tianyi 4G network and optical network.

Analysis: It seems that this is not the duty of the operators? Or is it a gift to users?

After reading the many policies of the three major operators, don't be so happy, they are just teasing us. It seems that China Unicom has several policies, China Mobile has several policies, and China Unicom has several policies, but they are all just taking off pants to fart - unnecessary, tying a hen's butt with a rope - bullshit. If you really want to reduce fees, just reduce the package price and the data fee directly, and don't set these rules and regulations. As long as the existing package price remains unchanged, it will not make much sense for users, and those additional consumption restrictions will not benefit the general public at all. Therefore, when it comes to speeding up and reducing fees, the prime minister's words really don't count, and the general manager still has the final say.
