Apple Stores will have accessible products for people with disabilities early next year

According to reports, Apple plans to sell accessible products for people with disabilities through the company's online store and Apple Store retail stores early next year. The products will appear in Apple Store retail stores between January and March 2016.

At this time, it is unclear what products or product categories Apple will choose. Apple's current product line supports a wide range of hardware, such as hearing aids and Braille displays that are certified for Made for iPhone. Mac, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS all support accessibility features, such as assistive access, VoiceOver, dictation, and system-level UI adjustments.

Many of Apple's software also attaches great importance to accessibility features. For example, after FaceTime was launched in 2010, TV ads and online videos promoted FaceTime as an ideal way to communicate with gesture language. More importantly, the American Foundation for the Blind awarded Apple the Helen Keller Achievement Award for the company's VoiceOver technology.
