Faraday Future uses virtual reality to create FFZERO1 concept car

Faraday Future unveiled its first concept car at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), called the FFZERO1. The car has many amazing features, the most incredible of which is its speed. Believe it or not, Faraday Future only took 18 months to create this car.

“When I first joined, I saw that very ambitious schedule,” said Richard Kim, chief designer at Faraday Future. “It was mission impossible, and the difficulty increased fivefold.”

So to achieve these ultra-fast design goals, Kim and his team had to change their approach. They wanted to speed up the process while ensuring high quality and unique designs. Kim says they had to reinvent their design process using augmented and virtual reality.

Impressively the team was able to meet or exceed each milestone by the scheduled deadline, resulting in the car being created in just 18 months.
