Humans have a variety of creativity. Recently, AI (artificial intelligence) has also begun to try some creative activities, such as cooking, art, poetry, and board games. Can robots write a script for a science fiction movie? It sounds amazing, and now some people have begun to try it.

Oscar Sharp and Ross Goodwin, AI researchers at New York University, are planning to use AI to write scripts and make movies. They developed a recurrent neural network called "Benjamin" and fed it with dozens of science fiction movie scripts, including classics such as Highlander Endgame, Ghostbusters, Interstellar, and The Fifth Element.

At the Sci-Fi London film festival, organizers will hold a 48-hour challenge, which will be based on some prompts. Researchers will input the prompts into the machine and let the AI create a script based on the requirements. Once completed, the script and pop music will be submitted to the actors, including Thomas Middleditch, Elisabeth Gray and Humphrey Ker, and then made into the movie "Sunspring". The actors will be assigned roles at will.

The lines of the script make sense when read in isolation, but not when put together. Oscar Sharp said in an interview: "After reading it, everyone around the table laughed out loud."

The robots may be coming, but screenwriters don’t have to worry about losing their jobs anytime soon.
