Android devices more reliable than iPhones, report shows

Perhaps many consumers think that iPhones are more reliable than Android devices, but Blancco Technology Group has come to the opposite conclusion in a recent survey - Apple phones had a higher failure rate in the third quarter of this year. The report pointed out that the failure rate of iPhones worldwide was 62%, while Android phones performed relatively well at 47%.

According to reports, the two main factors that trouble Apple phone users are applications and overheating. You may be curious about why the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was withdrawn from the market because of safety hazards caused by overheating. However, according to actual user surveys, iPhones also experience overheating, and consumers are also very troubled by this.

There are serious app crash problems on iPhone devices, and the report points out that "Pokemon Go" is the game app with the most frequent crashes. Niantic tried to improve the game very early, but there are still millions of users around the world complaining.

Richard Stiennon, chief strategy officer at Blancco Technology Group, said: "Our data shows that the various problems encountered when playing Pokemon Go are not limited to iOS users. Battery life issues also plague Android devices because the device needs to have GPS and the device screen turned on at the same time to play the game, which causes the battery to drain very quickly."

On iPhones, the iPhone 6 had the highest failure rate at 13%, followed by the iPhone 6s at 9%, and then the iPhone 5s at 9%. The most prone iOS app to crash was Instagram, followed by Snapchat, Facebook and Facebook Messenger.
