iOS 11.3 can fix the frequency reduction problem, but these models do not have

At the end of last year, Apple admitted that it had limited the performance of the CPU on some older iPhone models. The reason was simple: the battery loss of the phone caused these loss batteries to be insufficient to provide enough power for the phone to perform certain complex tasks. When this happened, the iPhone in question would shut down, forcing the user to restart the phone. For this reason, Apple limited the performance of the iPhone CPU through a system update.

Obviously, this practice has been strongly opposed by users. For this reason, in addition to offering a price of $29 (previously $79) to replace the battery for users, Apple has also added some tools in iOS 11.3 to allow iPhone users to monitor the health of their mobile phone batteries. This update also allows owners of these models to prevent Apple from throttling their CPUs on their phones, regardless of the condition of their internal batteries.

Currently, the official version of iOS 11.3 has been pushed to all Apple users, but not all users can enjoy the battery health feature that appears in iOS 11.3. Apple has made the following response.

[[224648]]

The first is that more advanced hardware and software in the 2017 iPhones (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X) can more accurately estimate power needs and the battery's power capabilities to maximize overall system performance, allowing different performance management systems to more accurately let iOS predict and avoid unexpected shutdowns.

What’s even more interesting is that while the iPhone 5s got iOS 11.3, which is the oldest iPhone model, it doesn’t have the battery health feature. That’s because Apple said it won’t officially idle the iPhone 5S’s CPU performance.

That is to say, only the iPhone 6 series and iPhone 7 series phones will limit the performance of the iPhone CPU due to battery loss. So if your phone is iPhone 5S, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, then don’t worry, there is no "Battery Health" function because Apple has not limited your CPU performance at all.
