In 2017, Apple first launched the iPhone X with a full-screen design with a notch and no physical Home button, and the three new iPhones in 2018 also adopted this design. Over the past weekend, an analyst report from Nomura Securities in Japan predicted that the 2019 iPhone is not expected to have major design changes.
So, do you think Apple should continue with the same iPhone design language next year? Or, what aspects do you want Apple to focus on with the 2019 iPhone? The 2019 iPhones will reportedly feature no design changes as Apple grapples with slowing iPhone sales. Several Apple suppliers have slashed their holiday sales forecasts, leading to speculation that Apple itself has cut iPhone orders. Apple has been using the same design language from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone 8, with only minor changes made between updates. With this in mind, it’s entirely possible that Apple will continue to use the same design on next year’s iPhone, which is only two years old. There are a few things Apple should probably focus on for its 2019 iPhone lineup. Over the past few years, Apple has been focusing almost exclusively on major camera updates. The 2019 iPhone camera could see a similar addition to Google's popular Night Sight feature, as well as some improvements to help improve the iPhone's camera performance. Another thing Apple might be keeping an eye on is the price of the iPhone. One of the most common complaints people have about the latest generation of iPhones is that they've become increasingly expensive. Of course, Apple has never emphasized a price cut strategy with its annual iPhone update, but if the hardware design of the 2019 iPhone remains the same, a price cut is not out of the question. In addition, Apple may focus on improving hardware performance. Some people may feel that in the actual use of the iPhone, it is becoming increasingly difficult for ordinary users to notice such performance improvements. Improvements that may be included in the 2019 iPhone also include new AR features, new iOS features, 5G support (this seems unlikely), Face ID improvements, Apple Pencil support, and more. What improvements would you most like to see on the 2019 iPhone? Let’s talk about it. |
