iPhone 11 design renderings exposed: equipped with horizontal triple-lens

Recently, according to Indian media reports, among the three new iPhones to be released by Apple (hereinafter referred to as "Apple") in September this year, at least one model will adopt a horizontal three-lens design.

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen two sets of conflicting iPhone 11 design renderings, both of which came from the same well-known information source.

The first set of renderings show that the iPhone 11 is equipped with three cameras on the back, arranged in a square, and the positions of these three cameras are not symmetrical.

The second set of renderings show that the iPhone 11 is also equipped with three cameras, but they are not arranged in a square, but horizontally.

Today, a new report from the media claims that among these two sets of renderings, one design will actually go into production.

According to Indian blog CompareRaja, at least one model of the iPhone 11 will have a horizontally arranged camera on the back, as shown below:

According to a person familiar with the matter, the prototype will go into production this year. CompareRaja also said that it is not clear which model of iPhone 11 will adopt this design, but it is likely to be an upgraded version of iPhone XS.

But it has been previously reported that only the iPhone 11 Max will be equipped with three rear cameras this year, so the details are still a bit vague at the moment.

CompareRaja's report also claims that the iPhone 11 will be equipped with a 4000mAh battery and a USB-C port instead of Lightning. Moreover, the phone will also use a 5.8-inch screen, the same specifications as the iPhone XS. However, due to narrower bezels and smaller bangs, its screen-to-body ratio will be improved.

As for the color, the phone will have up to four color options, namely silver, gold, space gray and blue. The report also said that the last color (blue) is less likely to appear.

In addition, the new iPhone will also support IP68 waterproof and dustproof functions. According to reports, this iPhone does not support the 5G standard, and the first 5G iPhone is expected to be launched in 2020.

The Wall Street Journal cited multiple people familiar with the matter earlier this month as saying that Apple will still release three new iPhones this fall, including a successor to the underperforming iPhone XR.

Apple also plans some new camera features, including three rear cameras on the highest-end iPhone and two on the other two models, these people also said.

The next-generation iPhone 11 series is expected to be released in September this year, so Apple still has enough time to complete the final design. This means that in the next few months, as mass production gets closer, we believe we will see more information about the next-generation iPhone.
