Bai Yansong: Nowadays, mobile phones push notifications based on hobbies, which is one of the most destructive ways to deal with people

According to the Beijing News, Bai Yansong, a member of the CPPCC and a host of CCTV programs, said in an interview that the way mobile phones push notifications based on hobbies is now particularly destructive.

According to reports, Bai Yansong does not have WeChat on his mobile phone. He said, "I don't want to stay in so many friend circles. I think time is limited. There are only 24 hours in a day. There are not many valuable things in the circle of friends. I am not very close to the mobile phone." But he has various news apps installed on his mobile phone.

Regarding the impact of mobile phones on people, Bai Yansong said, "We hold our phones for hours every day. As soon as we get bored, we panic and quickly take out our phones. We are immediately attracted by what we see. We originally planned to go to bed at 11 o'clock at night and have a healthy life. We thought we would just watch for ten minutes, but after watching for a while, we found that it was already 12:40. What's more, mobile phones now push content based on your preferences. If you only watch what you like, you will not feel awkward or be promoted. How can you make progress? Awkwardness is often a sign of progress because you are entering an unfamiliar field. I think that the way mobile phones cater to people's preferences is one of the biggest ways to ruin people."

Bai Yansong also said that when young people stop reading, those who read will be the ones who will carve out a niche. Those who spend less time on their phones and give themselves more time to be bored will be the ones who will create great things. Foreign writers have made it clear that "mobile phones take away people's boredom, and by the way, they also take away the greatness associated with boredom."

Regarding the current situation of the media, Bai Yansong said: We have some newspapers that have collapsed, and we think it is the impact of the Internet new media. Sorry, without new media, they should also be abandoned by the market. Some TV stations are malnourished and in poor economic conditions, and they are said to be impacted by the new media. Sorry, there are too many TV stations in China. If half or more of them are eliminated, it may be healthier. Traditional media and new media each have their own problems. To achieve a healthy integration of media, we cannot integrate "with illness".

At this year's two sessions, CPPCC member Bai Yansong put forward two proposals: one on employment for the elderly and the other on pilot consultation clinics in public hospitals.
