In order to optimize the user experience, WeChat has reached a cooperation with Apple to jointly explore the dark mode experience of WeChat on iOS. At present, the function has been developed and is expected to be launched in the next new version. Please stay tuned. The dark mode that many WeChat users have been thinking about has finally been implemented.

Tencent's WeChat team also responded to netizens' questions about when the Android version of WeChat will be able to implement dark mode. The WeChat team said:

“The function of WeChat adapting to the system dark mode has been successfully grayed out on the Android version, and users will be able to experience this function in subsequent versions.”

In fact, this is a very logical thing. As early as December 17 last year, WeChat had already released a beta of dark mode on the 7.0.10 test version of the Android system. Judging from the test feedback at that time, the overall completion degree was already very high.

As a national chat product, WeChat always causes controversy in its function updates, and the late arrival of the dark mode is one of them. Apple iOS launched the dark mode for apps in June last year, and in a notice to developers in March this year, required all apps to adapt to the dark mode. This triggered a wave of discussions among netizens about Tencent's battle with Apple and the crisis of WeChat being removed from the shelves.

The so-called dark mode (or dark mode) is a mode in which the overall interface of the software changes from a light background to a black background and the overall brightness is adjusted after the APP is opened.
