After much anticipation, Xunlei iOS version is finally back on the App Store. Xunlei was previously available on the App Store, but Apple removed it for some reason, and it is not easy to get it back on the App Store this time. Without further ado, let's take a look at what practical functions the resurrected Xunlei can bring to users and whether it has any outstanding performance. If Xunlei is going to become a private cloud disk, will you use it? The new Xunlei app has the phrase "exclusive private cloud disk" after its name. That's right, the main function of Xunlei iOS version is not downloading, but private cloud disk. Do users have a new useful cloud disk? Try it and you will know! When you open Xunlei iOS version, there is a striking reminder on the homepage (Log in to get 6T of super large cloud disk space), which is good. However, if you are not a member, you may be disappointed because non-members can only get 2T of cloud disk space. Figure 1 Log in to receive 6 TB of cloud storage space Figure 2 After logging in, non-member users only have 2TB of cloud disk space Then, what can this Xunlei Cloud Drive do? It can store user files. Users can manually upload files to the cloud drive for storage. Files in the cloud drive, videos can be played online, and pictures need to be cached back to the local computer before they can be opened. The upload speed is average, and it does not support automatic file backup operations or file sharing operations. Figure 3 Manually upload files After some experience, the editor feels that the functions of this cloud disk are relatively simple, without any special features, and lacking some of the main functions of a cloud disk, making it a bit useless. Thunder Download! Super simple download function Don't worry, how can Xunlei not support downloading? Xunlei iOS version also has downloading function, but currently only supports downloading HTTP, HTTPS and FTP link modes. It does not support Xunlei exclusive links, magnetic links, eMule links, and BT downloads. In other words, if you want to download, you can only find download links in HTTP, HTTPS and FTP link modes, but it is not easy to find video resources in these download link modes! Figure 4 Adding a download link Figure 5: Does not support Thunder exclusive links For downloaded video files, Xunlei iOS version supports the function of downloading and playing at the same time, and the online playback fluency is quite good. Figure 6 Downloading and playing at the same time (the picture has been blurred) The built-in video player of Xunlei iOS version supports audio track selection, subtitle selection and multiple playback functions. Figure 7 The built-in video player of Xunlei iOS version (the image has been blurred) Summarize Maybe due to copyright restrictions, the download function of Xunlei iOS version is obviously much weaker than that of Android version, and the cloud disk function is also a bit simple and useless. Anyway, Xunlei iOS version is finally resurrected, let's wait for it to be improved slowly. It is said that the magnetic link function may be launched later, which would be much better if it can be launched. |
