However, now the outside world is worrying too much, and Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei's consumer business software department, also revealed some inside information.

Wang Chenglu revealed that Huawei had basically interrupted technical exchanges with Google after May 16 last year, but Huawei's (system) upgrade this year was very good, and the upgrade satisfaction rate reached an all-time high, exceeding 80%, which is not easy.

He believes that from the perspective of cooperating with Google, there are certainly pros and cons, and some aspects restrict Huawei from moving forward quickly.

"From the actual results, we were originally worried that the interruption of Google's technical exchanges would affect the use of existing users. (For now) there is no need to worry," said Wang Chenglu.

Regarding the progress of when the Hongmeng system will enter mobile phones, which is of concern to the outside world, Wang Chenglu said that the adaptation work of Hongmeng OS 2.0 is currently progressing very well, the research and development is ready, and it is expected to be released as scheduled in December.

Wang Chenglu said that Huawei had decided internally to develop the Hongmeng system as early as May 2016, and had made plans for possible future market and technological directions. The most special idea was to regard isolated IoT devices as modules, such as a lamp is a display module, a TV is a display module plus a speaker module, etc.

For users, what is shown is the connection between two devices, but in the Harmony system, it is the connection between modules. This is also one of the core innovations of the Harmony system, which can help the IoT industry solve the big problem of interconnection.

Regarding the two major mobile systems, Android and iOS, Wang Chenglu said that Hongmeng OS is completely different from the current iOS and Android, and is an operating system for the Internet of Everything. After so many years of talking about IoT, the biggest problem is that we still view each device in isolation, and this kind of IoT has no development.

He believes that the interconnection of multiple devices can be achieved in multiple ways, including the application layer, the connection layer, and the underlying system interconnection. If it is only done from the application layer, it will not be able to cope with the rapid emergence of more intelligent devices in the future, and it will be a very large workload.

The advantage of the system interconnection solution is that it is more versatile and scalable. From the perspective of the system, the scattered devices we see today will become different modules of a device. The architecture of this module is open to third parties. As long as the third party writes according to the architecture of the module, it will naturally be part of the system module. The upper-level application is not multiple devices working but one device. "I think this is a revolutionary change for all industries. It is a completely new track. China has huge opportunities." Wang Chenglu said firmly.

In Wang Chenglu's view, human life has changed a lot since the emergence of smartphones. Based on the mobile phone ecosystem, hardware companies such as Apple, Huawei, and Samsung, as well as application companies such as Amazon, Google, and BAT, have emerged.
