Apple announces the official launch of App Light Code

Apple announced to developers yesterday that it has now launched App Light codes.

Apple said that a light app is a small part of a developer's app that is easy to find and can be quickly launched when needed, allowing users to start and complete an experience in just a few seconds.

It is reported that developers can provide a variety of ways to help users discover their light apps. Apple said that "the best choice is the light app code."

IT Home learned that each code of the light App encodes a URL address, and the code can work with NFC tags. Even if the App has not been downloaded, users only need to bring their iPhone close to the light App code or scan the code with the camera to open the light App and quickly complete the required task.

Light App Code can now be created in App Store Connect or through the new command line Light App Code Generator. Apple points out that using the command line, developers can flexibly create code in batches.
