Tencent urgently releases WeChat update for Windows to fix Google Chrome V8 engine security issue

IT Home reported on April 17 that Tencent Security Emergency Response Center issued an announcement yesterday that there is a security issue in the V8 engine used by Google Chrome , which may affect Windows WeChat and software using the engine. Tencent Security Emergency Response Center stated that it has urgently released a new version of WeChat to fix the problem. WeChat will upgrade automatically, and users can also upgrade to the latest version ( 3.2.1.141 and above ) through "Settings" - "About WeChat" - "Upgrade Version". Friends at IT Home can check their Windows version of WeChat and upgrade to the new version as soon as possible. |
