Apple iOS 15 Beta3 Updates: New Safari Search, Apple Music Widget

July 15 news: In the early hours of today, Apple pushed the iOS/iPadOS 15 developer preview Beta3 update (internal version number: 19A5297e) to iPhone and iPad users. This update was released 2 weeks after the last release.

Safari Search

When users tap the URL bar of a Safari tab, the interface for entering another URL or search term has been moved above the keyboard, where it was previously located at the top of the start page. The search interface has also been improved.

Safari Reload

Users now have the option to reload by long pressing on the floating tab bar, as an alternative to using the built-in menu option.

When users reload a tab in Safari, the latter gets a reload icon that can be tapped to refresh again. The reload icon is only available in portrait mode on iPhone, but it can be displayed in both portrait and landscape modes on iPad. Making the button appear requires a refresh, and Apple may simplify this operation in the future.

App Store splash screen

The new App Store splash screen highlights the new features available in the App Store in iOS 15, such as in-app events in apps and games, the App Store widget, and Safari extensions on iOS.

Focus Mode Update

In the Focus interface of the Settings app, Apple has removed the Focus Status and Phone Calls options from the main interface and relocated them to different sections.

Apple Music widget

The Apple Music widget now changes color and image based on the song being played, rather than using album art, and a new Pause label makes it clearer when a song is playing and paused.
