Apple releases iOS/iPadOS 14.7.1: fixes Touch ID unlocking issue

iOS14.7 and iPadOS14.7 were originally planned to be the final versions of iOS 14, but embarrassingly, there are too many bugs in the current system version, and Apple had to suddenly release a new version again.

Earlier today, Apple unexpectedly released iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1, which included a bug fix for a bug that some users had discovered that prevented the Apple Watch from unlocking when connected to a Touch ID phone.

In addition, this update also brings some security patches.

The new version will be automatically downloaded to the device, or can be manually installed via OTA by accessing the Settings app. From the home screen, select "General" and then "Software Update" to start the update immediately.

Apple is currently testing and polishing its milestone operating system updates, including iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, and watchOS 8, in developer and beta channels, and it is undergoing the final stages of testing before its fall release.
