The WeChat team stated that in response to the country's "double reduction" policy, in accordance with the "Opinions on Further Reducing the Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden of Students in Compulsory Education" and relevant requirements of the education authorities, from now on, the WeChat platform will further standardize the release and dissemination of subject training content.

WeChat requires that no promotional or misleading content about subject-based and non-subject-based extracurricular training institutions for primary and secondary school students (including kindergarten and preschool children) , as well as content that "sells education anxiety" and promises to quickly improve test scores, should be published on the WeChat platform.

It is also not allowed to use the WeChat platform to conduct subject-based and non-subject-based extracurricular training for primary and secondary school students (including kindergarten and preschool children) in violation of regulations.

In accordance with the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Further Clarifying the Scope of Subject and Non-Subject Categories of Extracurricular Training in Compulsory Education and the provisions of the national compulsory education curriculum, when conducting extracurricular training, morality and law, Chinese, history, geography, mathematics, foreign languages ​​(English, Japanese, Russian), physics, chemistry, and biology are managed as subject categories. Extracurricular training involving learning content specified in the national curriculum standards for the above subjects is managed as subject categories.
