iOS 16.2 Beta 2 updated with several changes!

Yesterday morning, Apple pushed the iOS 16.2 Beta 2 update, two weeks after the last beta version. The version number of this update is 20C5043e.

Friends who have already installed the iOS 16 beta version can directly upgrade to the latest version in the software update. If other users want to try it out, they need to install the iOS 16 beta description file first. You can send "16" in the background of this official account to obtain it.

Let’s take a look at the changes brought by iOS 16.2 Beta 2.

Medication lock screen widget

Apple added a sleep widget to the lock screen in the first beta version of iOS 16.2. In iOS 16.2 Beta 2, Apple added two new “medication” lock screen widgets. Users can long press the lock screen to enter the editing mode and find these two widgets in “Health”.

Click to enter to jump to the medication interface, where you can view and set medication functions.

New interface for accessibility mode

According to foreign media 9to5Mac, Apple is testing a new feature called "Custom Accessibility Mode" in its iOS 16.2 Beta 2 code. This feature allows users to set the operating interface of iPhone and iPad by themselves.

Compared with the current simpler operating interface, through this new feature, users will be able to set the iPhone's operating interface, such as larger fonts, or add more shortcut options on the home screen.

From the screenshots of the function provided by 9to5Mac, this new feature is more suitable for the elderly and people with some disabilities. Currently, the feature has not been officially launched. Apple is testing the feature and will launch it soon.

In addition to new features, iOS 16.2 Beta 2 also fixes a lot of bugs. In the previous beta, when the iPhone opened the camera on the lock screen, the camera interface could not be launched. It could only be launched after the screen was locked and reopened. This problem was fixed in Beta 2. It also fixed the problem that third-party apps would crash when connected to HomePod using AirPlay, and the volume could not be adjusted when making a call with the screen off; the problem that the borderless note could not be deleted and synchronized was also fixed.

The official version of iOS 16.2 is expected to be released in the middle of next month.
