Netizens reported that there are bugs in the Continuity function in iOS 16.4 and macOS 13.3, and universal controls cannot be used

On April 6, according to feedback from many netizens on the MacRumors forum, Reddit community, Twitter social platform, and Apple's official support forum, there are many problems in the macOS 13.3 and iOS 16.4 updates released by Apple last week.

Apple released the official versions of iOS/iPadOS 16.4 and macOS 13.3 on March 28, adding 21 new emojis, optimizing the car accident detection function, adding multiple shortcut commands, and more.

IT Home previously reported that the iOS 16.4 update caused the battery life of many iPhone models to decrease. In addition, users also reported that there were bugs in functions such as Handoff, Universal Clipboard, Auto Unlock, and Approve with Apple Watch.

One of the most common user feedback issues is the Continuity feature, which prevents the Universal Control from working properly.

Apple's official introduction to this feature is as follows:

Continuity

You can do amazing things with your Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Apple Watch alone. When you use them together, you can do even more. Use your iPhone as a camera for your Mac. Make calls without picking up your iPhone. And your Mac automatically unlocks when you wear your Apple Watch. They work so well together because they were designed to work together.

General Control

With one keyboard, mouse, or trackpad, you can control your Mac and iPad at the same time. You can move the cursor smoothly across devices, giving full play to the advantages of each device and creating in new ways. For example, you can use Apple Pencil to draw a delicate illustration on iPad, and then use the mouse to drag it directly to the presentation you are making on Mac.

Users have reported that in addition to rolling back to the previous version, possible effective solutions include logging out and back in to the iCloud account on both devices; re-enabling Apple Watch, Handoff/Auto Unlock, WiFi and Bluetooth, etc.
