Beijing's new college entrance examination: The first adaptive test will be held online at 9 a.m. today

The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission that the first adaptability test of Beijing’s new college entrance examination will be held at 9 am today. Affected by the epidemic, more than 50,000 candidates in Beijing will try to take the "cloud" exam at home for the first time.

This year, Beijing will implement the new college entrance examination. There will be great changes in the examination subjects compared with previous years, and because each candidate chooses different level examination subjects, there will be different examination schedules. According to the announced examination time, the first two days are for unified college entrance examination subjects, namely Chinese, mathematics and English; the last two days are for "6 choose 3" elective subjects, that is, choosing 3 subjects from the 6 subjects of politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology for examination, regardless of liberal arts or science.

It is understood that the "start bell" for the first test subject, Chinese, will ring in the candidates' homes. Chinese is the first subject to be taken, and more than 50,000 candidates began to answer the questions online. Some districts have already distributed the electronic version of the "2020 Beijing College Entrance Examination Adaptation Test Chinese Answer Sheet" to candidates last Sunday.

In order to distribute the test papers, many schools have established WeChat groups according to subjects. The teachers will distribute the test papers 30 minutes before the exam, leaving time for students and parents to print the test papers. Some schools also distribute examination papers through the "cloud" such as daily teaching platforms and school-specific apps. Some schools also said that printing test papers makes it more convenient for students to answer questions and save them. If there is no printer, students can also answer questions by looking at the computer.

More than 50,000 senior high school students took the exam at the same time. In order to avoid traffic jams in the "cloud", many schools also made contingency plans in advance. A senior high school teacher in Haidian District said that the electronic version of the test papers will be sent to students via a network disk. In order to ensure that all students can receive the materials on time, the school has prepared a backup network disk.
