Year-on-year changes in prices of various commodities and services In June, the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol rose by 8.8% year-on-year, affecting the CPI (Consumer Price Index) by about 2.64 percentage points. Among food items, the price of animal meat rose by 57.4%, affecting the CPI increase by about 2.61 percentage points, of which the price of pork rose by 81.6%, affecting the CPI increase by about 2.05 percentage points; the price of aquatic products rose by 4.8%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.09 percentage points; the price of fresh vegetables rose by 4.2%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.10 percentage points; the price of grain rose by 1.6%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.03 percentage points; the price of fresh fruit fell by 29.0%, affecting the CPI decrease by about 0.67 percentage points; the price of eggs fell by 13.6%, affecting the CPI decrease by about 0.08 percentage points. Among the other seven categories, prices rose in three, remained unchanged in one, and fell in three. Among them, prices of other goods and services rose by 5.1%, prices of education, culture and entertainment, and medical care both rose by 1.9%; prices of daily necessities and services remained unchanged; prices of transportation and communications, housing, and clothing fell by 4.6%, 0.6%, and 0.4%, respectively. II. Month-on-month changes in prices of various commodities and services In June, the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol rose by 0.1% month-on-month, contributing about 0.04 percentage points to the CPI increase. Among food items, the price of fresh vegetables rose by 2.8%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.07 percentage points; the price of livestock meat rose by 2.2%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.15 percentage points, of which the price of pork rose by 3.6%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.15 percentage points; the price of fresh fruit fell by 7.6%, affecting the CPI decrease by about 0.13 percentage points; the price of eggs fell by 3.7%, affecting the CPI decrease by about 0.02 percentage points. Prices of the other seven major categories rose, remained unchanged and fell by one and five month-on-month. Among them, prices of other goods and services rose by 0.4%; prices of medical care remained unchanged; prices of transportation and communications, education, culture and entertainment all fell by 0.3%; prices of clothing and housing both fell by 0.2%; prices of daily necessities and services fell by 0.1%. |
