People familiar with the matter said it was unclear whether TikTok's Chinese parent company ByteDance was interested in selling its British subsidiary and whether it would make a formal offer for the business.

Earlier, on the 9th, Fox Business Channel reported that US private equity giant Blackstone may acquire TikTok's US business together with Microsoft. FOX Business has learned that Blackstone Group has expressed interest in joining the big tech company Microsoft in its bid for the popular short-video app TikTok. But according to people familiar with the matter, Blackstone has not yet formally decided to join Microsoft in acquiring TikTok's U.S. business from its Chinese parent company ByteDance.
Last week, media reported that Tiktok has planned to move its headquarters to London, England, and the British government has no plans to ban Tiktok's business in the UK. TikTok has made plans to move its headquarters from the United States to London and is waiting for the British government to make a public statement of support. Tiktok also announced that it would build a data center in Ireland to store data of European users.
