| The POS machine used always jumps code, which causes headaches for many users. No points are earned by swiping the card after the POS machine jumps code . Generally, it jumps to the discount category. Some are even more outrageous and directly jump to the public welfare category. Some people say that since I don’t pay the fee anyway, it doesn’t matter to me whether the code is jumped or not. In fact, this is not the case at all. The people who are most affected are consumers. If banks cannot make money, they will easily be subject to risk control and then have their credit limit reduced or their cards blocked. So, how do we check whether the POS machine has jumped code? The easiest way is to check the bill. It is not just about looking at the receipt, but the following three bills: 1. Credit card receipt: The card receipt is the receipt signed when you swipe the card to make a purchase. The merchant will give it to us. This is called a receipt and is also called a receipt. 2. Bank bills: The bank bills swiped can be checked in the bank’s APP. 3. UnionPay bills: UnionPay bills can be checked on the official China UnionPay APP. If code jumping occurs, the merchant name on the receipt will be different from that on the bank statement or UnionPay statement, or the region will be inconsistent. If the information on the receipt and the bank statement are inconsistent, it means that the code has jumped. Using this kind of POS machine with code jumping will cause devastating damage to the credit card. It will easily be subject to the bank's risk control and then the card limit will be reduced or blocked. Doesn't it mean that if you swipe your card to have a meal in Shanghai in the morning, and go to Beijing to see the Forbidden City in the afternoon, the bank can't tell? How to check whether the POS machine has jumped code? Another way is to check the MCC code. The MCC code is also called the merchant category code, which is the "merchant number" displayed on the card receipt. The merchant number has 15 digits = organization code (3 digits) + area code (4 digits) + merchant type MCC code (4 digits) + merchant sequence number (4 digits) . Method to query MCC: Step 1: Click "Check Transaction" in the "China UnionPay 95516" WeChat official account. Step 2: Enter the credit card number to be queried. The mobile phone number here is used to receive the verification code. There is no need for the reserved number of the credit card in the bank. After verification, proceed to the next step. Step 3: Enter the time and amount of the transaction, with the amount accurate to the cent, otherwise it cannot be found. Step 4: Query results. The query results mainly focus on the first 11 numbers. Digits 1-3 represent the settlement party of this POS machine; digits 4-7 represent the location of the merchant, and this will determine whether the card transaction will jump to another place; digits 8-11 are the merchant's MCC code, and this will determine whether the transaction will jump to another place. Code jumping means that when you swipe your card at a jewelry store, the receipt will show that it is from the jewelry store, but when the customer checks the bill himself, it will show that it is from a supermarket or restaurant. This is code jumping. |
