Testin releases free internal testing tool Pre.im to create a Chinese version of TestFlight

TestFlight, a mobile app beta testing tool favored by mobile developers, has become less and less user-friendly since it was acquired by Apple and integrated into iTunes Connect last year. The slow access speed, extremely complicated process, uncertain and slow review, etc., have made domestic developers no longer like it. After a startup is acquired, it often becomes increasingly distant from users, and Apple has not been able to avoid this.

Recently, Testin, a domestic company that focuses on mobile developer application testing services, launched a free internal testing distribution and hosting tool, Pre, which is similar to TestFlight in terms of functions and services. It solves the various inconveniences that domestic mobile developers face when using TestFlight, one by one, with extremely simple operation and super-fast uploading and downloading, aiming to make up for its long-lost shortcomings.

Testin Pre is positioned in line with TestFlight. It is a tool that helps mobile application developers and mobile game developers with internal testing distribution and application hosting. It can help developers get the developed applications to users as quickly as possible. Unlike TestFlight, which requires money to purchase an iOS developer account, the Pre product is completely free to use, which includes the entire process of internal testing and highly reliable application hosting. Currently, Pre supports applications and mobile games developed for Android and iOS. Application developers and mobile game developers can easily start a distribution work for internal testing in just two simple steps. It is expected that within this year, Pre will also support internal testing distribution and hosting of Windows mobile applications.

Testin Pre is similar to the internal testing method provided by TestFlight. App developers and mobile game developers can divide testers into internal members and external members. In theory, both types of testers can use the App during the testing phase. Internal personnel need to be invited by the creator of the test task, but the maximum number of people can be 25. For external personnel testing of the application, it can be divided into two types: unlimited invitation and completely open. The difference is that TestFlight has an extremely uncertain review process, while Pre simplifies this link, making the distribution process of internal testing easier.

At the other end of the internal test distribution process, taking iOS applications as an example, after the developer quickly uploads the mobile application or mobile game to the Pre platform, he only needs to send the generated link to the tester through WeChat or SMS. The tester obtains the UDID through the Pre platform and feeds it back to the developer. It is a very simple process. People participating in the test can directly open the link or scan the QR code to download and install the iOS application.

The main features of Pre are:

Simple: upload the App, and users scan the QR code to download the App. Distribution is just two steps. iOS apps are no exception, and UDID can be obtained in a fool-proof way.

Efficiency: Say goodbye to the extremely long review wait in the app store and let the app reach the hands of internal test users in a flash.

Fast: No need to purchase servers or bandwidth to quickly host applications, and the speed of uploading and downloading applications is much faster than TestFlight.

Rich: Pre is integrating one-click compatibility testing, functional testing, crash analysis and other tools, so developers can enjoy one-stop service.

"Testin, as the earliest mobile application testing service provider, started from compatibility testing in the past four years. Aiming at the different characteristics of mobile application developers and mobile game developers, including the differentiated industrial environments of iOS and Android, we have launched compatibility testing, functional testing, stress testing, performance testing, and continuous application quality monitoring product crash analysis. Recently, we have launched smart hardware testing." It has now provided a very mature application quality testing service system. As TestFlight's convenience in China has been declining, many application developers and mobile game developers have repeatedly proposed that Testin should provide Beta testing services to help solve this problem, so Pre was born. In order to better serve mobile developers, we have also decided to provide Pre for free. For this reason, Testin plans to invest 10 million in the first phase to ensure that the service is excellent," said Wang Jun, founder and CEO of Testin.
