The target keyword is a keyword with a relatively large search volume and is often highly competitive, so it is also a key point in optimization. Of course, many people will choose some slightly less popular words at the beginning, but no matter what, as long as we regard it as a key word to be optimized, we should place it on the homepage for optimization, so the external links invested are also required. Assuming that 30 external links can be released in a day, at least 20 should be released for the target keyword.

Keywords are words relative to the target keywords. They may be relatively less competitive, so the investment in external links can be relatively less. If there are 30 external links a day and the homepage has 15 of them, then 5 or 6 of these words should be allocated to them.

Long-tail keywords are less competitive words, and often only a few external links are needed to rank them up. Therefore, the investment in external links can be reduced appropriately. A long-tail keyword may only require a few external links to be published. When Baidu updates, we will find that it has been ranked up. Of course, some long-tail keywords with higher competitiveness require us to invest more energy.

The homepage is the most important part of a website. The high weight of the homepage can be well distributed to the weight of each column page and content page. This is why a high-authority website can receive a reward within seconds after posting an article. When publishing external links, the focus should be placed on the homepage. Assuming that we publish 10 external links every day, the homepage should account for at least 5 or 6 of them, so that the website can play a leading role in optimization.

The column page is second only to the home page. Under normal circumstances, the weight of the page is lower than that of the home page, and it can be appropriately reduced in the distribution of external links. If 10 external links can be published every day, and the home page occupies 5 to 6, then the column page should publish 2 to 3.

The content page is the place with the lowest weight, and it is also the page used for website optimization ranking. Because in many cases, we don’t need to publish external links for content pages. When a website has a certain weight, the keywords of many content pages can generate better rankings.
