Many friends on the Internet have talked about the setting of keywords in ASO before, including brand words, industry words, and competitor words. Everyone knows how to use tool software to make selections, so I won’t go into details here. However, when setting keywords, people often overlook adding the pinyin of their own products. If your pinyin word does not appear as the associated "first word" on your phone, please pay attention to adding your full pinyin letters as your keywords. In today's highly competitive App promotion industry, such a small mistake may result in your opponent directly cutting off your retreat. Without further ado, let’s take a look at a few cases. Let’s first take a look at some examples of failure. "Wangxin" is a communication tool for Taobao buyers. When users search for "Wangxin" through pinyin, the default result should be " " (see Figure 1), which means that the first word does not appear in the associated pinyin. Therefore, it is even more important to optimize the pinyin keywords.

Then the author searched for "wangxin" by directly entering the pinyin, and the result was that two products that were completely unrelated to Wangxin were displayed on the first screen (see Figure 2). It can be seen that the keyword in the ASO of "Wangxin" did not include the pinyin word "wangxin". Well, I’ll omit that here… So the ASO of big companies is not necessarily reliable. 

Let’s take a positive example. After “Yi Xin” is typed into Pinyin, the phonetic word is not the first word that appears directly (see Figure 3). However, when we searched for the pinyin word "yixin", we found that Yixin's own product was ranked first (see Figure 4), which means that they have added the pinyin word yixin into the keywords in ASO.

 

 Summary: When setting APP keywords, regardless of whether your brand word appears in the first place in the pinyin input, please set the pinyin word as the keyword and do some promotion. Because many users of Pinyin input method may search for your product through Pinyin letters if the full pinyin does not appear in the "first word".
