From 9:00 on July 5 to 6:00 on July 6, the maximum cumulative rainfall in Wuhan was 426.6 mm (Wulongquan, Jiangxia), which is the highest single-day rainfall in historical record.

It is reported that during the foreign language listening test, if the test is affected by strong lightning, depending on the specific situation, after immediately completing the approval procedures, emergency measures such as suspending the listening test, taking the written test first and then the listening test, and extending the test time can be adopted. Specifically, since the beginning of the plum rain season, the city's cumulative rainfall has been between 426 and 754 mm, more than 1 times more than the same period in previous years. The average rainfall reached 604.8 mm, and the maximum cumulative rainfall occurred at the Jiangxia Wulongquan automatic weather station, with a total of 840.9 mm.
Judging from the cumulative rainfall from 8:00 on the 4th to 6:00 on the 6th, the heavy rain areas are mainly located in Caidian, Development Zone, Hanyang, Qiaokou, Jianghan, Jiang'an, Dongxihu, Wuchang, Jiangxia and other places. Most parts of the city received 100 to 230 mm of rainfall, and some areas received 300 to 460 mm of rainfall. Among them, the central urban area of ​​Hankou area had 90-150 mm, the Hanyang area had 160-200 mm, and the Wuchang area had 110-160 mm; the new urban area of ​​Caidian had 180-280 mm, the development zone had 180-320 mm, Jiangxia had 200-460 mm, Dongxihu had 60-170 mm, Huangpi had 30-90 mm, and Xinzhou had 60-150 mm. The areas with accumulated rainfall of over 300 mm are: Wulongquan in Jiangxia with 462.4 mm, Fasi with 323.1 mm, Dongjing in Development Zone with 317.4 mm, and Shamao with 305.8 mm. The maximum hourly rainfall occurred in Wulongquan, Jiangxia, which was 88.3 mm (4-5:00 on the 6th).
