It is reported that Russia's largest telecommunications operator, Mobile Telecommunications Systems (MTS), signed an agreement with Huawei in June 2019 to develop 5G connections and initially launch these networks in Russia in 2019 and 2020. According to RIA Novosti on July 28, MTS became the first company in Russia to obtain a license to provide 5G services in 83 regions across Russia.
