iOS 14 second developer preview released: introducing many detailed adjustments

For developers, Apple today released the second beta version of iOS 14. Users who have already installed the iOS 14 beta can directly upgrade wirelessly via OTA. The latest iOS 14 beta mainly fixes bugs and also has some performance optimizations, which can make the experience of some devices smoother.

● Calendar Icon

A new calendar icon was introduced in iOS 14 Beta 2, with date selection abbreviations instead of spellings.

● Clock Icon

The clock icon has also been slightly adjusted, with bolder fonts and thicker hour and minute hands.

● Files widget

The Files app has a new widget that can be added to the Today View or the Home screen.

● Congestion Zones

Some countries (such as London and Paris) offer alerts for toll congestion zones. In countries with license plate restrictions, there are also reminders for license plate restricted areas.

● Fixed weather widget

Fixed a bug in the widget so that the user's current city is no longer replaced by Cupertino.

● Reminder Emoji

Emoji in the reminder list has been redesigned

● Shortcuts

There is no longer an option to open .shortcuts files in the Shortcuts app.

● Application Library

Apps downloaded to the App Library instead of the Home screen can now be deleted directly from the App Library. The "Remove" function for other apps is now "Delete."

● HomeKit Favorites

HomeKit Favorites listed in Control Center now have larger icons for some people.

● Music

The Music app settings allow disabling animated cover art. The Music app also no longer has a toggle for “Show Apple Music.”

● Musical touch

Pressing the Play, Pause, Next, and Back buttons on the Now Playing screen in Apple Music now provides haptic feedback.

● Family Sharing

In the Settings app, there’s a new Family Sharing icon.

● Apple Pay

Apple Pay is now available in the Mac catalyst app.

● Wi-Fi Privacy Warning

Apple provides a warning message in the Settings app when connecting to a WiFi network that does not use a private Wi-Fi address.

● Control Center

Control Center now shows which apps have recently accessed your microphone or camera.
