Apple is promoting safer and more compliant iPhone repairs. In addition to official ones, they have also begun recruiting independent third-party repair providers, which can also be seen as a major adjustment in its after-sales service. According to foreign media reports, Apple announced the expansion of its independent repair provider program. In addition to adding more repair points in the United States, it will also expand it to 32 countries including Europe and Canada. Apple is expanding its independent repair provider program to provide customers with more options to obtain repair services. This program enables businesses of all sizes to repair iPhones using genuine Apple parts to ensure safety and quality. Since the program’s U.S. launch in the fall of 2019, more than 140 independent repair companies have joined, with more than 700 new U.S. repair locations now available to customers. “We’re excited to expand our independent repair provider program to more locations across the US, as well as Europe and Canada,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. “When customers need repair service, we want them to have more options that meet their needs while ensuring safety and quality, so their iPhone can last as long as possible.” Apple said that there are currently more than 5,000 Apple Authorized Service Providers around the world that can provide warranty and out-of-warranty repair services for all Apple products. The company also reiterated their commitment to ensuring health and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, which also extends to third-party services. Judging from the current situation, this plan will also be introduced into the Chinese market in the future.
